Graphics Index

The Graphics Index is a repository of Bahá'í graphics-- photographs and icons, original and not-so. These can be used in any world wide web page, plain-paper presentation, etc. free of cost, and have been gathered from various sources with the author's permission.

These are public domain graphics, but please use wisely and carefully, and give credit where credit is due. If you have graphics that can be listed, please let me know.

To use any of these pictures, simply right click on the graphic and save the file onto your hard drive. Please do not link your graphic directly to my server; place them on your own. Many of the photographs are thumbnails. Feel free to use the thumbnail representation, if you so desire -- but know that you can often click on the picture itself to get a larger (generally much larger) version of the graphic. Additionally, many of the pictures have several different versions, ranging in size. The largest ones will of course be the best looking ones... In general, you'll probably want to download one of the alternate, better quality representations of the photographs, as opposed to these small thumbnails, and adjust the size to your desire with a graphics editor.

Useful Graphic Programs

Use these to change the color of your graphics, work on contrast and brightness, change the size, etc. Having one of these programs is essential if you wish to change these graphics at all.

Adobe Photoshop, which has been used in the creation of this site, is the best program out there, though it will cost you.
Graphics Workshop, a decent viewer for all kinds of graphics, allows some manipulation, but I'm not sure how much. Shareware.
LView Pro , another Graphics Workshop...
Paint Shop Pro , a nice shareware program which contains many of the most essential elements of Adobe Photoshop, though it pales in comparison to the real thing (and consequently costs much less).
WinFiles.com has a large collection of shareware, freeware, and demo programs under the 32-bit Shareware:Multimedia:Graphics Editors heading.
